Installation Guide
Substrate must be dry and free of dust or any other ‘bond breaking’ materials. Canamould decorative features are intended for use over the primary exterior weather barrier (i.e. wall system) and are not designed for use in structural applications.
Refer to substrate manufacturer for specific recommendations.
- Measure size needed and saw through clean and smoothly.
- Apply approved adhesive to back of Canamould feature using a notched trowel.
- While adhesive is wet, immediately install Canamould feature and press into place. Remove excess adhesive before it dries.
- Some pieces may require mechanical attachment until adhesive sets. Remove the temporary attachment prior to the finish coat.
- Pieces can be joined using either a mitre or straight cut. Check alignment of joints for proper fit prior to embedding Cana-Mesh with approved basecoat over joints.
- Prior to applying finish, ensure that:
- All features are completely adhered and fully covered All temporary fasteners are removed
- All joints have been treated and sanded flush
- All Canamould surfaces are clean and free of dirt, dust and other contaminants.
