CRH Plc holds environmental issues in high regard and encourages the transfer of knowledge & expertise across its companies. In addition, annual reviews are undertaken on the impact of each operating site on the local environment.
Recycling
At Springvale we encourage the multiple use of EPS, firstly into shape moulding/sheet production with a defined life cycle, then reprocessed in our construction products to insulate and save energy into the future. Our activities in this important area include:
- Establishment of registered recycling centres for EPS materials surplus to our customers requirements
- Membership of national and international EPS Groups which aim to coordinate a common sustainable approach to EPS packaging materials
- Education and awareness programmes concerning sustainable, recyclable and reprocessible foam packaging
Springvale EPS Ltd is licensed to receive and transport expanded polystyrene waste. This waste EPS is then recycled and reformulated into new products. Products contain up to 50% recycled content depending on its application.Â
If you would like to discuss recycling your expanded polystyrene waste, please contact us.
